The Finmatun Cultural Association is a creator collective from the visual arts, music and artistic production fields. Since 2006, we have worked steadily developing creative action, social dynamization and artistic production with people stripped of their freedom and in socially disfavoured environments.
Finmatun’s starting point is art as a socially transformative tool with a double direction, artistic creation as a tool for intercultural dialogue and the approaching of another culture to a non-specialised public.
We believe that in order to intervene in a beneficial way on the world around us we must first be coherent and transparent in the way we work within our organisation and actions.
Due to this, we have a good practice guide where:
-
We promote horizontal, plural, diverse and participatory organisations.
-
We encourage inclusive and non-sexist language and practices.
-
We use communication technologies applications that minimise travel and pollution. .
-
We support local consumption.
For us, it is important to move forward on the paths that tear down walls, promote diversity and teach us to enjoy each other.
