The 2020 edition of MiTS will revolve around the following actions:

Contest open to video-dance pieces which, through the video and motion of the body question us as individuals and as a society.

Selection of the best pieces received since MiTS first edition in order to share with the new public the origins and background of the festival.

MiTS DYNAMIZATION

Starting from a performative action a guest choreographer will invite the public to take part in a class and improvised choreography. Topics to explore: .

MiTS LABORATORY

Learning tool for creators, performers and students, as well as meeting point for multidisciplinary artists interested in audio-visual dance and new media. Looking to create languages where different techniques and diverse and inclusive visions merge. Through the creation of a video-dance piece and its premiere outside of the competition, we want to generate a meeting around a socially vulnerable topic like DIVERSE BODIES.

MiTS TEXTILES

Debate and thought roundtable for professionals with common sensitivities around performative creation, visual culture and the use of new technological means. This is a fundamental action for the development of new looks and methodologies.

MiTS MAPPING

Mapping in the framework of the “L'Alternativa Festival” based on the following idea: urban space as a living territory to discover and be questioned. This edition’s theme will be the tension between social/human distancing and social/human closeness: thoughts on the physical body and social interaction in the “new normal”.
