Since the festival is held every two years, we are not only committed to being a channel of visibility, but also to be a space for the interrelation of forces from different groups, where processes are as important as final results. In this edition we have been able to show part of the research process that MiTS has developed during the years 2021 and 2022.

MiTS SAMPLE 2022

The sample has been divided into two different blocks. In the first we enjoyed the presentation of the multidisciplinary piece 'Awoso' and then we went to the international video dance competition. All accompanied by the presentation of Jordi Cortés that this year has made master of ceremonies.

MULTIDISCIPLINARY PRESENTATION 'AWOSO'  | 'Irmo Tish' Collective

Awoso_04.jpg

The collective 'Irmo Tish' invites us to a multidisciplinary performance of video, movement and live voices with binaural sound.

'Awoso' means 'language' in Chamacoco.

Chamacoco is one of the many endangered languages in the world.

Chamacoco is one of the many languages in danger of extinction, it is an indigenous language of the Gran Chaco region of Paraguay and belongs to the language family of the Zamuco.

...every time a language disappears we become poorer, more homogeneous and lose an opportunity to enrich ourselves with the contribution of the other...

100 helmets for the spectators and a binaural microphone to intervene live.

'Awoso' is part of the research that MiTS carries out in the field of image, sound, technology and body moving.
